Link Sanitizer Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is handled in the Link Sanitizer app
I Don't Collect Your Links or Personal Information
I do not collect, use, save, or have access to the links you sanitize or any other data recorded in the Link Sanitizer app. Links are cleaned on your device.
Free Trial Checks
So that the free trial can't be restarted by reinstalling the app, the app remembers on a server whether your device has used up its free sanitizations. This record is a single yes or no flag and the date it was set. It is not linked to your name, email, account, or anything you sanitize, and it is not used for anything else, shared, or sold.
On Android, the app sends your device's Android ID (an identifier Android gives this app on your device) to linksanitizer.com, along with a Google Play Integrity token when one is available. The server stores only a one-way hash of the Android ID next to the flag, never the Android ID itself. When Play Integrity is available, Google Play may also store the flag for your device.
On iPhone, iPad, and Mac, the app uses Apple's DeviceCheck service through linksanitizer.com. Apple stores the flag for your device, and the server does not store anything.
Children’s Privacy
The Link Sanitizer app doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The free trial check above applies to every device in the same way.
